17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo, we are transported back to the bustling Bouverie Street offices of The Daily Mirror in London during the 1920s. The image showcases a trio of dedicated journalists hard at work, their faces etched with concentration and determination. Seated at the forefront is Charlie Warner, an Art Bench boy who plays a crucial role in supporting the newspaper's artistic endeavors. With his sleeves rolled up and pencil poised over paper, he epitomizes youthful enthusiasm for journalism. Standing beside him is George G King, an experienced journalist whose expertise shines through as he meticulously crafts his next article. Completing the trio is Sidney Coomes, an Art Bench assistant who lends a helping hand wherever needed. The atmosphere in the office seems electric with creativity and collaboration as these talented individuals navigate stacks of papers and typewriters that fill every corner of their workspace. Tower Hamlets' Stepney district provides a fitting backdrop for this snapshot of British media history. This photograph serves as a poignant reminder of how far communication technology has come since those early days when newspapers were crafted by hand. It also pays tribute to the tireless efforts of journalists like Warner, King, and Coomes who played vital roles behind-the-scenes to bring news stories to life on printed pages. Mirrorpix's Memory Lane Prints allows us to step into this moment frozen in time – capturing not just an era but also celebrating those unsung heroes who dedicated themselves to delivering information that shaped our understanding of the world around us.
