Thats just the job. First problem- how to get into the dress
Thats just the job. First problem- how to get into the dress. A dusting of talc smooths the way in and - right-the latex look is complete. The end result, complete with cute rubber titfer, is well worth the wriggle. " Just one problem, " Annelise giggled, " You can t go to the loo in a hurry." November 1985 P006291

17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print from November 1985, we witness a woman's determination to conquer the fashion world of the 1980s. Titled "That's just the job" it showcases her struggle to slip into an exquisite dress that perfectly embodies the latex trend of that era. The first challenge she faces is figuring out how to get into the dress effortlessly. With a dusting of talc, she smooths her way in, ensuring every inch adheres flawlessly to her body. The end result is nothing short of remarkable – a complete latex look complemented by a cute rubber hat. However, as Annelise giggles mischievously, there's one minor setback: bathroom breaks become quite an ordeal in this ensemble. The trade-off for impeccable style seems to be sacrificing convenience and speed when nature calls. This snapshot encapsulates not only the fashion trends prevalent during that time but also highlights the lengths individuals would go to make a statement with their clothing choices. It serves as a reminder of how fashion can both empower and challenge us simultaneously. Preserved through Memory Lane Prints by Mirrorpix, this photograph transports us back in time, allowing us to appreciate and reflect upon the unique styles and quirks that defined an entire decade.
