Flat Cap Generations Horse Recycling Scrap

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this nostalgic print from Memory Lane Prints, we are transported back to September 1980, where we witness the heartwarming bond between rag and bone man John White and his beloved nephew Nick. As they make their rounds together, collecting discarded items for recycling and scrap purposes, their shared passion for preserving the environment shines through. The image captures a slice of life from the 1980s, showcasing not only the dedication of these two individuals but also highlighting the importance of intergenerational connections. John's weathered face reflects years of hard work and determination while Nick's youthful enthusiasm is evident in his beaming smile. Both donning flat caps that were fashionable during that era, they exude a sense of pride in their trade. What truly adds charm to this photograph is the presence of an elegant horse standing beside them. This loyal companion has accompanied them on countless journeys as they traverse neighborhoods in search of discarded treasures. The horse symbolizes resilience and strength amidst a rapidly changing world. As we gaze upon this snapshot frozen in time, it serves as a reminder that even humble occupations can hold great significance when approached with passion and purpose. Rag and bone men like John White played an essential role in recycling long before it became mainstream.
