17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print from Memory Lane Prints, we are transported back to the vibrant streets of East London in August 1972. The image captures the enigmatic duo Gilbert and George, renowned artists of the 20th century, standing confidently on Fouriers Street. Dressed impeccably in their signature suits, they exude an air of eccentricity that is synonymous with their artistic persona. Their facial expressions reveal a mix of intensity and curiosity as they engage with their surroundings. It is evident that these two visionaries are deeply absorbed in their creative process, constantly pushing boundaries and challenging societal norms through their art. The composition itself is intriguing - it appears to be a candid moment frozen in time. Perhaps they were preparing for an exhibition or installation nearby; regardless, this snapshot encapsulates the essence of contemporary art during that era. Gilbert and George's impact on the art world cannot be overstated. Their unique approach to self-portraiture and provocative subject matter have left an indelible mark on contemporary art history. This photograph serves as a testament to their enduring legacy as artists who fearlessly embraced individuality while defying conventional artistic conventions. This remarkable piece from Memory Lane Prints allows us to glimpse into a pivotal moment in Gilbert and George's career - a reminder of how true creativity can transcend time and continue to inspire generations long after it was captured through the lens of a camera.
