17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: "William Mulready in His Last Years: A Reflection of a Distinguished Artistic Career" William Mulready (1786-1863), an esteemed Irish-born artist, is captured in this poignant photographic print, taken in the later years of his illustrious artistic journey. Born in County Cork, Ireland, Mulready gained recognition for his mastery of historical and genre painting, particularly in the fields of Irish and English life. The image reveals a matured Mulready, with a thoughtful expression and a hint of melancholy in his eyes. His white beard and receding hairline speak to the passage of time, yet his piercing gaze remains unwavering, a testament to his enduring passion for art. The artist is dressed in a simple, dark suit, the folds of which reveal the subtle textures and intricacies of the fabric, a nod to the meticulous attention to detail that characterized his paintings. Mulready's career spanned over seven decades, during which he produced a vast body of work that continues to captivate audiences. His most famous works include "The Harvest Wain" and "The Rainy Day," which showcase his ability to evoke the essence of rural life and the human condition. These paintings, along with his other masterpieces, have earned him a place in the annals of art history as a significant figure in the Romantic movement. Despite his achievements, Mulready's later years were marked by financial struggles and a decline in public favor. However, this photograph serves as a poignant reminder of the indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication to his craft that defined his life and artistic legacy. In this image, Mulready's gaze seems to invite us to reflect on the transient nature of life and the enduring power of art to capture the essence of human experience. Through his work, Mulready continues to inspire and captivate audiences, leaving a lasting impact on the world of art and beyond.
