FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this evocative photograph, Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Edward Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia, stands confidently on the balcony of an Arabian building, bathed in the golden light of the Middle Eastern sun. Dressed in traditional Arab attire, Lawrence cuts an imposing figure against the backdrop of the desert landscape. Born in Wales in 1888, Lawrence was a British Army officer who rose to fame for his pivotal role in the Arab Revolt against Ottoman Turkish rule during World War I. Serving as a liaison officer between the Arab forces and the British military, Lawrence played a critical role in organizing and leading the Arab forces in their fight for independence from the Ottoman Empire. The photograph was likely taken between 1916 and 1918, during the height of the Arab Revolt. Lawrence's Arab costume, consisting of a white thobe, red headdress, and a sword at his side, reflects his deep immersion in Arab culture and his commitment to the Arab cause. The balcony from which Lawrence gazes out offers a glimpse into the rugged terrain of the Middle East, with its rolling sand dunes and rocky outcroppings. The stark beauty of the landscape underscores the harsh conditions endured by Lawrence and the Arab forces during their struggle for freedom. As a 1st Lieutenant and later a Colonel in the British Army, Lawrence's leadership and strategic acumen proved invaluable in the Arab Revolt, which ultimately led to the end of Ottoman rule in the region. His exploits during this time have become the stuff of legend, immortalized in books, films, and popular culture. This photograph captures a moment in history, a fleeting instant in time, when a man in Arab dress stood on a balcony, looking out over the land he helped to liberate.
