17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: Stela of the Royal Scribe Ani: A Testament to New Kingdom Egyptian Art and Literature This stela, dating back to the New Kingdom of ancient Egypt (approximately 1550-1077 BC), showcases the intricate artistry and rich cultural heritage of this ancient civilization. The stela, which is a vertical, upright slab of stone inscribed with relief carvings, was created for the royal scribe Ani, an esteemed figure during the reign of Pharaoh Seti I. The central figure of the stela is Ani, who is depicted in a round, colorful cartouche, surrounded by hieroglyphs that denote his title and status. Ani is shown seated on a chair, with his arms crossed in front of him, while a horse and carriage are depicted behind him. This scene represents Ani's wealth and importance, as horses and carriages were luxurious modes of transportation during the New Kingdom. The relief carvings on the stela are adorned with vibrant colors, which have been remarkably preserved in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The intricate details of Ani's clothing, the horse's mane, and the carriage's decorative elements are all testament to the exceptional craftsmanship of the ancient Egyptian artists. The stela also features hieroglyphic inscriptions, which were the primary means of written communication in ancient Egypt. These inscriptions include prayers and offerings to various gods, as well as a description of Ani's career as a royal scribe. The Stela of the Royal Scribe Ani is a precious artifact that offers a glimpse into the lives of the ancient Egyptians, their art, literature, and the rich cultural heritage of the New Kingdom. It is a reminder of the enduring legacy of this ancient civilization, which continues to captivate and inspire scholars and visitors alike.
