17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: "A Game of Snooker: A Peek into the Historical Past" Step back in time as we take a captivating journey into the heart of a bygone era, with this evocative snapshot of a snooker room, as seen through the lens of a historical photograph from Mary Evans Prints Online. The image transports us to an Edwardian-era establishment, where the air is thick with the scent of history and the palpable excitement of a game in progress. In the foreground, the grand snooker table takes center stage, its green baize surface worn smooth by countless hours of play. Three balls rest atop the felt, poised for the next shot, while the cue ball waits patiently nearby. The table, a testament to the craftsmanship of its time, is surrounded by ornate, velvet-upholstered seats, their rich hues adding a touch of opulence to the scene. In the background, two young men, intently focused on their game, are seated at the table. Their expressions betray a fierce determination, as they plot their next moves. The room's panelled walls, adorned with portraits of renowned snooker players, bear silent witness to the rich history of this timeless sport. The room's interior, with its intricate mirrorwork, ornate furnishings, and elegant curtain drapes, speaks of a time when leisurely pursuits were a luxury, and the art of snooker, a game of skill and finesse, held pride of place. This image, a window into the past, invites us to ponder the enduring allure of snooker and the unique charm of the rooms where it continues to be played and cherished.
