Funnel Funnels Liner War Time Ww 1

17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Amidst the turbulent waters of the North Sea, a majestic ship with two funnels cuts through the waves during the First World War. The year is between 1914 and 1918, a time when the world was engulfed in the Great War. The ship, a 1st liner, stands as a testament to the engineering marvels of the era, its tall funnels belching out thick plumes of smoke, a common sight during this period of global conflict. The ship's sleek hull slices through the water with an air of determination, as it braves the rough seas, undeterred by the war time conditions. The funnels, a distinctive feature of the ship, not only serve as essential components for propulsion but also as symbols of power and dominance on the open sea. The smoke rising from the funnels, a mix of coal and steam, creates an ominous yet captivating scene. The contrast between the calm, serene sea and the chaotic, smoky funnels adds to the intrigue of the image. The ship, with its imposing presence, stands as a beacon of resilience and survival in the midst of the tumultuous war. The image captures the essence of a bygone era, a time when ships were the primary mode of transportation across the vast oceans, and the world was on the brink of a significant transformation. The ship with its two funnels at sea during the First World War is a reminder of the past, a time when the world was forever changed.
