FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Salvator Mundi," translated as "Savior of the World," is a renowned painting from the 16th century, believed to have been created between 1537 and 1545 in the Lower Rhine region of Germany. The painting, now housed at the Deutsches Historisches Museum in Berlin, Germany, depicts an enigmatic Christ figure with a globus cruciger, or a globe in one hand and a blessing, or benediction, hand in the other. Christ is shown with a long, flowing beard and an intricately detailed face, his eyes gazing directly at the viewer. The painting is a testament to the artistic mastery of the New Testament period, with its meticulously rendered details and lifelike portrayal of the subject. The globus cruciger, a symbol of power and authority, is adorned with intricate cartography, depicting the known continents of Africa, Europe, and Asia. This globe is believed to represent the world that Christ came to save, and the pearl in his right hand may symbolize the preciousness of each soul. The painting is attributed to the workshop of Caspar Vopell, a German painter of the Renaissance period. The intricate jewel-like details of the painting, such as the folds of Christ's robe and the intricate patterns on the globe, are characteristic of Vopell's style. The Salvator Mundi painting is a captivating work of art that transcends time and continues to inspire awe and wonder. Its intricate details and rich symbolism make it a must-see for art lovers and history buffs alike. The painting's journey from its creation in the 16th century to its current home at the Deutsches Historisches Museum in Berlin is a testament to its enduring significance and importance in the annals of art history.
