17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This evocative photograph captures the timeless beauty and devotion of Saint Clare of Assisi and her sisters of the Poor Clares. Saint Clare, born Chiara Offreduccio in 1194 in Assisi, Italy, was an Italian noblewoman who renounced her privileged life to follow Saint Francis of Assisi and became his close friend and follower. In 1212, she founded the Order of Poor Ladies, later known as the Poor Clares, which was the first women's religious order in the Franciscan tradition. Clare's deep spiritual connection to God and her commitment to living a life of poverty, prayer, and service inspired countless women to join her order. She is known for her miraculous powers, including the ability to live without food for long periods of time and to heal the sick. One of her most famous miracles occurred when she protected the city of Assisi from invading Saracen forces by holding up the monstrance containing the Blessed Sacrament, shielding it from harm. The sisters in this photograph, dressed in their traditional habit of a simple white tunic and a dark woolen cloak, embody the spirit of Saint Clare and her dedication to living a life of poverty and prayer. Their serene expressions and peaceful demeanor reflect their deep connection to God and their commitment to serving the poor and needy. This photograph is a powerful reminder of the enduring legacy of Saint Clare of Assisi and the impact she had on the lives of countless women who followed in her footsteps. Her story continues to inspire us today, reminding us of the power of faith, devotion, and the courage to live a life of service to others.
