17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

1. The Ruins of Ebla: A Glimpse into the III Millennium BC Civilization of Syria The Ruins of Ebla, an ancient Semitic city located in modern-day Syria, offer a captivating window into the rich history and culture of the Eastern Mediterranean Civilizations during the III Millennium BC. This panoramic view of the archaeological site, specifically the files of the Lower City, transports us back in time to the capital city of the powerful Ebla Kingdom. Ebla, also known as Tell Mardikh, was a prosperous city-state that flourished from approximately 2500 to 2200 BC. Its strategic location along the trade routes connecting the Mediterranean Sea and the Euphrates River made it a significant economic and political powerhouse during the Bronze Age. The ruins of Ebla reveal the impressive architectural achievements of the ancient civilization. The stone structures, some still standing tall after thousands of years, bear testament to the advanced engineering and construction techniques of the time. The open-air archive, discovered in the royal palace, contains thousands of cuneiform tablets, which have provided invaluable insights into the daily life, religion, and administration of the Eblaite civilization. This breathtaking overview of the Ebla ruins invites us to explore the history and heritage of the Syrian people, shedding light on the intricacies of a civilization that once thrived in the heart of the Eastern Mediterranean. The panorama serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring legacy of human civilization, which continues to inspire and captivate us in the present day. The Ebla ruins are a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the Syrian Arab Republic and the broader Eastern Mediterranean region. They stand as a symbol of the interconnectedness of civilizations throughout history and the enduring human quest for knowledge and understanding.
