23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: "A Regal Farewell: Princess Margaret's Going-Away Outfit Designed by Victor Stiebel for Her Marriage to Anthony Armstrong-Jones in 1960" This image showcases the elegant and sophisticated design of Princess Margaret's going-away outfit, created by the renowned British couturier, Victor Stiebel, in 1960. The photograph captures the essence of the historic moment as Princess Margaret bids farewell to her homeland following her marriage to photographer Anthony Armstrong-Jones. The design, a testament to Stiebel's extraordinary talent, features a stunning floor-length gown adorned with intricate floral embroidery, a trend that was popular during the late 1950s and early 1960s. The gown's fitted bodice, accentuated by a belt at the waist, highlights the princess's slender figure, while the full skirt flows gracefully around her, evoking a sense of elegance and grace. The ensemble is completed with a matching bolero jacket, which adds an element of sophistication and practicality to the outfit, making it perfect for the princess's journey to her new life with her husband. The delicate embroidery on the jacket complements the gown, creating a cohesive and harmonious look. Princess Margaret's going-away outfit is a significant piece of fashion history, reflecting the style and trends of the time while showcasing the exceptional talent of Victor Stiebel. The image serves as a reminder of the royal wedding that captivated the world and the enduring influence of British couture on the global fashion scene.
