17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
On July 1, 1969, the pages of the Illustrated London News bore witness to a significant moment in British royal history. The cover featured a stunning portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her eldest son, Prince Charles, marking the formal investiture of the young prince as the Prince of Wales. The investiture, which took place at Caernarfon Castle in Wales, was a grand ceremony steeped in tradition and symbolism. Prince Charles, dressed in the red and ermine-trimmed robe of the Order of the Garter, knelt before his mother as she placed the insignia of the Principality of Wales upon his head. The investiture signified the formal creation of the title, bestowed upon him at the age of 20, making him the longest-serving Prince of Wales in history. The photograph captures the moment of regal pride and affection between mother and son, as Queen Elizabeth II looks on with a proud and loving expression. The investiture marked the beginning of a new chapter in Prince Charles' life, setting the stage for his future role as the monarch. This iconic image, taken during the 1960s, is a testament to the enduring tradition and history of the British monarchy. The investiture of Prince Charles serves as a reminder of the importance of heritage and the continuity of the royal lineage, as well as the deep bond between a mother and her son.
