17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
USS Utah (BB-31) off Cowes: A Spectacular Sight of Maritime Power and Aviation Technology This photograph showcases the USS Utah (BB-31) anchored off the picturesque town of Cowes on the Isle of Wight, England. The United States battleship, a formidable symbol of maritime power and military might, is bathed in the golden hues of a setting sun, creating a breathtaking contrast against the clear blue waters. In the foreground, a collection of aircraft, both planes and helicopters, are neatly arranged on the flight deck, ready for takeoff or landing. The aircraft, a mix of propeller-driven biplanes and jet-powered jets, represent the evolution of aviation technology through the decades. Their presence on the USS Utah underscores the ship's role as an aircraft carrier, a versatile platform that can project power from the sea. The image captures the essence of a bygone era, where the intersection of maritime and aviation technology created a powerful and awe-inspiring sight. The USS Utah, with its impressive size and the aircraft gracefully positioned on its deck, epitomizes the United States' commitment to maintaining a strong naval presence and technological superiority. This photograph is a testament to the enduring allure of the sea and the marvels of human ingenuity. It invites us to reflect on the rich history of naval warfare and aviation, and the continued importance of these fields in shaping our world.
