23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Celebrating a Remarkable Life: Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, Waves to the Adoring Crowds on Her 80th Birthday (1980) This evocative photograph captures a moment of regal grace and joy as Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, waves to the crowds from the comfort of her royal carriage on the occasion of her 80th birthday on August 4, 1980. Born on August 4, 1900, Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon was the mother of Queen Elizabeth II and the wife of King George VI. As the daughter of the 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, Elizabeth was raised in a privileged but unassuming environment. Her marriage to the Duke of York in 1923 brought her into the heart of the British monarchy, and she quickly became a beloved figure, known for her warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and country. The image of the Queen Mother waving to her subjects from the carriage is a poignant reminder of her long and remarkable life. Dressed in a stylish hat and coat, she exudes an air of confidence and composure, even as she approaches a milestone birthday. The crowds, gathered to mark the occasion, are a testament to her enduring popularity and the deep connection she had with the people of Britain. Taken from the archives of Mary Evans Prints Online, this photograph is a precious document of a moment in history, one that captures the essence of a much-loved monarch and the spirit of a nation.
