17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This striking photograph captures Queen Elizabeth II in her majestic glory at the annual Trooping of the Colour ceremony in London during the 1980s. The Queen, dressed in her full regalia, sits confidently atop her horse, Her Majesty's Mounted Bodyguard's horse, as she reviews the troops in the parade square of Horse Guards Parade. Surrounded by the grandeur of tradition and history, the monarch's presence is a symbol of continuity and stability for the people of Great Britain and the Commonwealth. The Trooping of the Colour is a time-honoured military parade and ceremony held in London every June to mark the Queen's official birthday. The event dates back to the 17th century and is a testament to the rich military history of the United Kingdom. The Queen's cavalcade through the streets of London, accompanied by her cavalry, is a sight that never fails to draw large crowds and evoke a sense of national pride. In this image, the Queen is flanked by her guards, all resplendent in their iconic bearskin hats and red tunics, adding to the grandeur and pageantry of the occasion. The horses, too, are impeccably turned out, their coats glistening in the sun. The scene is one of order, discipline, and tradition, a snapshot of a bygone era that continues to captivate and inspire. This photograph is a beautiful reminder of the enduring power and significance of the British monarchy and the traditions that define it. It is a moment frozen in time, a testament to the rich history and heritage of Great Britain and the Commonwealth.
