17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This enchanting photograph captures a moment of relaxation and bonding between Queen Alexandra (1844-1901) and her middle daughter, Princess Victoria of Wales, also known as "Toria" (1868-1935), as they engage in their shared hobby of angling. The image, taken around the turn of the 20th century, showcases the queen and her daughter dressed in elegant outdoor attire, each holding a fishing rod and beaming with joy. Queen Alexandra, a Danish princess who married King Edward VII in 1863, was known for her love of the outdoors and her dedication to various charitable causes. Princess Victoria, the eldest daughter of the future King George V and Queen Mary, was a popular and beloved member of the royal family, cherished for her vivacious personality and her close relationship with her mother. Angling was a favorite pastime for the royal women, providing them with an opportunity to escape the formalities of court life and enjoy the simple pleasures of nature. In this charming photograph, we see Queen Alexandra and Princess Victoria lost in the moment, their focus on the water and the potential catch, their laughter and conversation carried away by the gentle breeze. The image offers a unique glimpse into the personal lives of these two remarkable women, showcasing their shared passion for angling and their enduring bond as mother and daughter. This photograph is a testament to the rich history and traditions of the British monarchy and the human connections that transcend the boundaries of royalty.
