23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This beautiful portrait captures the radiant bride and groom, Princess Victoria of Hesse and Prince Louis Alexander of Battenberg, on the occasion of their wedding day in Darmstadt on April 30, 1884. Princess Victoria, also known as Victoria Alberta Elisabeth Mathilde Marie, was the eldest daughter of Grand Duke Louis IV of Hesse and Princess Alice of the United Kingdom. Her husband, Prince Louis Alexander, later known as Louis Alexander Mountbatten, 1st Marquess of Milford Haven, was the eldest son of Prince Alexander of Hesse and Princess Claire of Prussia. The couple's wedding was a grand affair, attended by royalty and nobility from across Europe. The bride wore a stunning white gown with a long train and a veil adorned with pearls and orange blossoms. Her bridesmaids wore matching dresses and carried bouquets of roses and lilies of the valley. Prince Louis Alexander, in his military uniform, looked proud and handsome as he gazed at his beautiful bride. The couple's union marked the beginning of a long and happy marriage, which would produce six children: Louis, George, Alice, Maud, Catherine, and Alexander. The portrait beautifully encapsulates the love, joy, and grandeur of the royal wedding, making it a cherished piece of history and a testament to the enduring bond between the couple. The image is a reminder of the rich royal heritage and the traditions that continue to shape the monarchies of Europe to this day.
