Princess Andrew of Greece (1885-1969), formerly Princess Alice of Battenberg, pictured with her four eldest children. From left, Princess Margarita (1905-1981), later Princess of Hohenlohe-Langeburg, the baby is Princess Sophie (1914-2001), later Princess Christoph of Hesse and then Princess George William of Hanover. Next is Princess Theodora (1906-1969), Margravine of Baden and finally is Princess Cecilie (1911-1937), later Grand Duchess of Hesse. Princess Alices final child, born in 1921, was the present Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip. She is pictured wearing the Meander tiara, most recently worn by her great-grandaughter, Zara Phillips, on her wedding day. Date: 1916

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

From left to right, the girls are Princess Margarita (1905-1981), who would later become Princess of Hohenlohe-Langeburg, the baby in Princess Alice's arms is Princess Sophie (1914-2001), who went on to marry Prince Christoph of Hesse and then Prince George William of Hanover. Next to her mother is Princess Theodora (1906-1969), who would become Margravine of Baden. The youngest daughter in the photograph is Princess Cecilie (1911-1937), who would later become Grand Duchess of Hesse. Princess Alice's final child, born in 1921, was the present Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip. The royal family is gathered in a warm and intimate setting, with Princess Alice wearing the stunning Meander Tiara, a piece of royal jewelry that has been passed down through generations. The Meander Tiara, adorned with intricate gold and diamond meander patterns, was most recently worn by Princess Alice's great-granddaughter, Zara Phillips, on her wedding day in 2011.
