23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this enchanting photograph from 1922, the four sisters of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, are captured in their youthful beauty and elegance as they served as bridesmaids at the wedding of Lord Louis Mountbatten and Miss Edwina Ashley. The sisters, from left to right, are Princess Sophia of Greece and Denmark (1914-2001), Princess Cicely of Greece and Denmark (1911-1937), Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark (1906-1969), and Princess Margaret of Connaught (1905-1981). The sisters' timeless fashion and captivating presence transport us back to the Roaring Twenties, a decade marked by flapper dresses, bobbed hair, and a sense of freedom and excitement. The sisters' elegant bridesmaid dresses, with their high necklines, long sleeves, and full skirts, reflect the more conservative fashion of the time. Princess Sophia, the eldest sister, stands tall and proud, her dark hair styled in soft waves, her eyes sparkling with intelligence and grace. Next to her is Princess Cicely, with her fair complexion and delicate features. Princess Theodora, the middle sister, wears a confident smile, her dark eyes reflecting a sense of mischief and playfulness. And finally, there is Princess Margaret, the youngest sister, with her bright, curious gaze and infectious energy. This photograph offers a rare glimpse into the lives of these four sisters, who were part of the extended royal family of Prince Philip. It is a reminder of a bygone era, a time when royal weddings were grand events that brought together the aristocracy and the common people, and when the world was still enchanted by the magic of the monarchy. The sisters' order in the photograph follows their age, with the eldest, Princess Sophia, on the left and the youngest, Princess Margaret, on the right, adding a sense of order and symmetry to the image. This photograph is a precious piece of history, a testament to the enduring bond of sisterhood and the beauty of a bygone era.
