23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Amidst the sun-kissed orchards of the French Riviera, circa 1905, a group of dedicated workers ascend ladders to pick the ripe and fragrant orange blossoms for the artisanal manufacture of perfume. The Cote d'Azur, with its idyllic Mediterranean climate, has long been renowned for its production of exquisite citrus scents. The people in this photograph, dressed in simple work clothes, carefully select the flowers with gloved hands, ensuring only the most perfect blooms are harvested. The trees, heavy with fruit and blossoms, stretch towards the azure sky, their branches laden with the promise of sweet perfume. The scene exudes a sense of tranquility and dedication, as the workers focus intently on their task, their faces etched with concentration. The ladder, a common tool in this labor-intensive process, provides a glimpse into the height required to reach the blossoms high above. The manufacture of perfume from orange flowers was a time-honored tradition in the South of France, with each step of the process carried out with great care and precision. From the picking of the flowers to their distillation, the result was a precious essence that captured the essence of the Mediterranean. This photograph offers a rare glimpse into the past, transporting us back to a time when the production of perfume was a labor-intensive, artisanal process, carried out with dedication and passion in the beautiful orchards of the Cote d'Azur.
