23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this evocative image, captured in the picturesque landscape of Teesdale, County Durham, England in 1991, a skilled shepherd, identified as Philip Dunn, tends to his flock of sheep beside the serene River Tees. The shepherd's close connection with nature is palpable as he expertly guides his collie sheepdog, a loyal and agile companion, to help keep the sheep in check. The collie, with its distinctive black and white coat and piercing gaze, stands alert, ready to assist its master in managing the livestock. The rolling hills and lush greenery of Teesdale provide a beautiful backdrop to this scene of rural life. The River Tees, meandering gently through the landscape, adds a sense of tranquility and calm to the image. The sheep, with their woolly coats and peaceful demeanor, graze contentedly on the verdant grass, oblivious to the world beyond. Philip Dunn, a seasoned countryman, is deeply rooted in the traditions of farming and livestock rearing in this region. His expertise and bond with his collie and sheep are a testament to the enduring relationship between man and nature in the English countryside. This photograph captures a moment in time, a snapshot of a way of life that continues to thrive in the rolling hills of Teesdale. The scene is a visual representation of the simple pleasures of rural life, where the daily tasks of farming and tending to livestock are carried out with a deep sense of connection and respect for the land and the animals under one's care. The image invites us to appreciate the beauty and serenity of the countryside, and the important role that farmers and their faithful companions play in preserving this precious heritage.
