23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this charming photograph taken in 1989, a Scottie dog eagerly pulls on its leash, determined to reach a tabby cat perched on a wall beneath the picturesque MacClellans Castle in Kirkcudbright, South West Scotland. The quaint town of Kirkcudbright, located in Dumfries and Galloway, Kirkcudbrightshire, is known for its colorful houses and historic sites, making for a beautiful backdrop to this heartwarming scene. The Scottie dog's owners, who are visible in the background, watch with smiles on their faces as their beloved pet makes an attempt to make friends with the feline. The tabby cat, seemingly unphased by the dog's persistence, sits calmly on the wall, observing the scene unfold. The interaction between the two animals is a testament to the unique bond that can form between seemingly unlikely companions. The photograph, taken in the late 20th century, captures a moment of pure joy and playfulness, as the dog's enthusiasm is matched only by its owners' delight in witnessing the scene. The image is a reminder of the simple pleasures that can be found in the everyday moments of life, and the enduring connection between humans and their pets. MacClellans Castle, a historic landmark in Kirkcudbright, adds an extra layer of charm to the photograph, with its ivy-covered walls and towering turrets. The scene is a snapshot of a bygone era, transporting viewers back in time to a moment of innocence and happiness. This photograph, by an unknown photographer, is a treasured piece of history that captures the essence of friendship, both between animals and between people and their pets.
