23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this evocative photograph, the Hawker Siddeley Hawk T.1 XX249 (msn 312085, line number 85) of the Royal Air Force's 4 Flying Training Squadron is seen in flight during the early 1990s. The Hawk, a versatile and much-loved jet trainer, was a staple of the RAF's training fleet for many years. XX249, with its distinctive round intakes and sleek lines, cuts through the sky with grace and power. The aircraft's red, white, and blue markings identify it as a proud member of the Royal Air Force. The year is 1990, and the Hawk is in its prime, having recently entered service with the RAF in 1983. However, this image holds a bittersweet memory, as XX249 met a tragic end on 28 September 2001. The cause of the crash is not known, but it marked the end of an era for this particular aircraft. The Hawk continued to serve with distinction in the RAF, and many other air forces around the world, long after XX249's retirement. This photograph is a poignant reminder of the Hawker Siddeley Hawk's important role in training the next generation of pilots for the Royal Air Force and other military organizations. It also serves as a tribute to the aircraft's enduring legacy and the memories of the many pilots who flew and learned in its cockpit. The Hawker Siddeley Hawk T.1 XX249 is a significant part of aviation history, and this photograph captures its spirit and essence in a way that is both captivating and timeless.
