Healing Miracles Northumbria Oswald Sets Victorious

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: "King Oswald of Northumbria: The Miraculous Cross of Hefenfelth This evocative image depicts King Oswald of Northumbria (604-642 AD) setting up a cross at Hefenfelth, or Heavens Field, before engaging in a crucial battle against the invading forces of Penda of Mercia in 634 AD. The scene is set against the backdrop of a rolling British landscape, with the king and his men preparing for the impending conflict. Oswald, a devout Christian, believed that the divine intervention of the Almighty would grant him victory. In an act of faith, he erected a cross at Hefenfelth, hoping that it would protect his troops and inspire their morale. The cross, believed to have been made from wood from the Holy Land, was a symbol of hope and unity for the Northumbrian forces. The battle of Hefenfelth was a turning point in the history of Northumbria. King Oswald's army emerged victorious, and the cross became a site of great significance. Miraculous events began to occur at the cross, with reports of healings and other supernatural occurrences drawing pilgrims from far and wide. The cross of Hefenfelth became a symbol of faith, hope, and healing for the people of Northumbria. It served as a reminder of the power of God and the importance of unity in the face of adversity. The site continued to be a place of pilgrimage for centuries, inspiring generations of Northumbrians and shaping the region's rich history. This powerful image captures the spirit of a pivotal moment in British history, when a humble king's act of faith transformed a battlefield into a sacred site of miracles and healing. The legacy of King Oswald and the cross of Hefenfelth continues to inspire and captivate us today, reminding us of the enduring power of faith and the resilience of the human spirit.
