23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Old Towngate, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire: A Journey Back in Time (circa 1910s) Step back in time with this photograph of Old Towngate in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. This quaint and picturesque street, now famous as the location for the beloved British situation comedy "Last of the Summer Wine," once bustled with the daily activities of local merchants and millers. On the left side of the street, the wagon of Gledhill & Brook, corn merchants and millers, can be seen waiting patiently for a large truck to pass through. The narrow streets of Holmfirth, which have remained largely unchanged over the decades, pose a challenge even for the largest of deliveries. The wagon is filled with sacks of flour and grain, ready for distribution to the local community. The ironmonger's shop, with its intricate sign and assortment of wares, adds to the vibrant scene. A swallow perched on a nearby ledge seems to be keeping a watchful eye over the goings-on below. This photograph offers a glimpse into the rich history of Holmfirth, a town that has long been a hub of industry and commerce. The wagon and its contents serve as a reminder of the hard work and dedication of the local merchants and millers who played a crucial role in the town's economy during this era. As you take in the details of this photograph, you can almost hear the sounds of horse hooves on cobblestones and the bustle of activity that once filled the streets of Old Towngate in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.
