31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Step back in time with this evocative photograph of The O Bus making its way through the historic town of Stockton-on-Tees during the 1970s. The red double-decker bus, adorned with the distinctive "Robin Hood" logo, was a familiar sight on the streets of Stockton during this era. The O Bus was a much-loved and integral part of the local community, providing essential transport links for residents and visitors alike. The bus, which can be seen here stopping at a bus stop, was operated by the Tees Valley Bus Company, which served the Stockton-on-Tees area and beyond. The photograph captures the essence of a bygone era, with the quaint architecture of the town's buildings and the vibrant colours of the bus contrasting against the grey skies and autumnal leaves. The scene is further brought to life by the passengers on board, including a young boy in a flat cap and a woman in a floral print dress, both of whom appear to be deep in conversation. The 1970s were a period of significant change for Stockton-on-Tees and the wider world. This photograph offers a glimpse into a time when life moved at a slower pace, and public transport played a crucial role in connecting people and communities. Today, the town continues to thrive, but the sight of a red double-decker bus like The O Bus is a rare one. This photograph is a valuable historical record of a bygone era and a testament to the enduring charm of Stockton-on-Tees. It is a must-have for anyone with an interest in local history, transport history, or simply those who appreciate the beauty of a well-composed photograph.
