17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

This photograph print transports us back in time to Rouen, France, during the late 19th century. The image showcases the stunning Notre Dame de Bon Secours (Our Lady of Good Help) and the Joan of Arc monument, both of which are iconic landmarks of the city. The Notre Dame de Bon Secours church, with its Gothic Revival architecture and vibrant red roof, stands proudly in the background, while the Joan of Arc monument, located in the foreground, pays homage to the legendary heroine of France. Joan of Arc, a peasant girl from Domrémy, rose to prominence during the Hundred Years' War when she claimed divine guidance from saints and angels. She led the French army to several important victories, including the relief of Orléans, which ultimately led to the coronation of Charles VII. After her military successes, Joan was captured by the Burgundians and sold to the English, who put her on trial for heresy and other charges. Despite her young age and lack of formal education, she defended herself brilliantly, refusing to recant her beliefs. She was ultimately condemned and burned at the stake in 1431. The monument in Rouen, erected in her honor, was unveiled in 1879. The statue of Joan of Arc atop the monument depicts her in full armor, holding the standard of France and a sword in her right hand, symbolizing her military prowess and unwavering dedication to her country.
