FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Newcastle Inn Yard," a captivating watercolor painting by the renowned Irish artist James Moore, portrays a bustling scene from the historic Newcastle town in 1878. The image, dated 1878, is a testament to the vibrant life that once thrived in this quaint Irish settlement. Moore's masterful use of watercolor on paper brings the Newcastle Inn Yard to life, with its intricate details and rich colors. The painting depicts a cobblestone street filled with horse-drawn carriages, wagons, and pedestrians, all making their way through the inn yard. The inn itself, with its red-brick facade and white-washed walls, stands proudly at the center of the scene, its doors open wide to welcome travelers and locals alike. The atmosphere is one of activity and community, as people go about their daily business and merchants sell their wares from the stalls lining the street. The sound of horses' hooves and the chatter of voices fill the air, creating a sense of energy and life that is both inviting and engaging. James Moore's "Newcastle Inn Yard" is more than just a historical record of a bygone era; it is a beautiful work of art that captures the essence of a community coming together in a shared space. The painting invites us to imagine the stories of the people who once walked these streets, and to appreciate the simple pleasures of life in a time when connections were forged not through technology, but through the shared experiences of daily life.
