17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: Thomas Hardy's Hallowed Ground: Stinsford Church, Dorset Thomas Hardy, the renowned English novelist and poet, is deeply intertwined with the landscape and history of Dorset, England. This evocative photograph captures the picturesque Stinsford Church, a place of profound significance to Hardy and his family. Dating back to the 12th century, this ancient church nestled in the heart of the Dorset countryside has been the final resting place for generations of Hardy's ancestors. The image showcases the church's striking gothic architecture, with its tall, pointed arches, intricately carved stonework, and the somber, moss-covered gravestones scattered throughout the churchyard. The graveyard, filled with the weathered tombstones of the past, serves as a poignant reminder of the passage of time and the enduring connection between Hardy and his beloved Dorset. Hardy's relationship with Stinsford Church began in his childhood, as he would often visit the churchyard to pay his respects to his deceased relatives. These visits left a lasting impression on him, shaping his literary work and inspiring some of his most famous novels, including "The Return of the Native" and "The Mayor of Casterbridge." As the years passed, Hardy continued to honor his family's legacy by arranging for his own burial at Stinsford Church, ensuring that he would rest among his ancestors. This photograph serves as a testament to the deep-rooted connection between Thomas Hardy, Stinsford Church, and the Dorset landscape that so profoundly influenced his life and work.
