31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this evocative photograph from the early 1900s, we step inside a traditional Egyptian shop, transported back in time through the hazy, golden light filtering in from the open door. The shop's interior is a treasure trove of intrigue, with its worn, terra-cotta floorboards, intricately patterned shelves, and the warm glow of lanterns casting long shadows on the rough-hewn walls. The shelves are laden with an array of goods, from woven baskets and delicate ceramics to ornate textiles and samples of various materials. The men in the shop, dressed in traditional Middle Eastern garb, are engrossed in their work, carefully examining the merchandise and arranging it on the shelves with meticulous care. The atmosphere is one of quiet concentration, punctuated by the occasional sound of hushed conversation and the gentle clinking of baskets being filled. The shop appears to be a hub of trade, with shipments of goods arriving and samples being inspected before being sent on their way. The photograph offers a glimpse into the daily life of a shopkeeper and his assistants in Egypt during the early 1900s. The scene is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region and the importance of trade in connecting people and communities across the globe. This image, with its warm, inviting light and intriguing details, is a beautiful reminder of the past and the stories that lie hidden within the walls of a humble Egyptian shop.
