23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Sunset, in the Style of J.M.W. Turner by Andrew Nicholl (1804-1886) This exquisite watercolour painting, entitled "Sunset," is an homage to the legendary British Romantic artist, J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851). Created by Andrew Nicholl (1804-1886), this masterpiece showcases the artist's exceptional skill in capturing the ephemeral beauty of a sunset, a subject that Turner himself was renowned for. Nicholl's "Sunset" is rendered in the style of Turner, with its vibrant colours, dynamic brushstrokes, and atmospheric effects. The artist expertly employs gum arabic and watercolour on delicate gummed paper, creating a textured surface that adds depth and dimension to the scene. The painting depicts a breathtaking sunset over the Irish Sea, with the sun casting a warm, golden glow over the undulating waves. The sky is ablaze with oranges, pinks, and reds, while the water below reflects the colours in a shimmering, ethereal manner. The use of light and shadow creates a sense of depth and movement, as if the viewer is witnessing the sunset unfold before their very eyes. Andrew Nicholl's "Sunset" is a testament to the enduring influence of J.M.W. Turner, whose innovative techniques and masterful use of colour continue to inspire artists to this day. This stunning work of art invites the viewer to pause and reflect on the transient nature of beauty, reminding us to cherish the fleeting moments of wonder that life has to offer.
