17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This stunning photograph showcases the exquisite Golden Cup with two canine handle terminals, discovered in the renowned Treasury of the Acropolis of Mycenae in Greece. Dated back to the late 15th century BCE, this remarkable artifact is a testament to the rich artistic heritage of the Mycenaean civilization. The Treasury of the Acropolis of Mycenae, located in the ancient city of Mycenae, has yielded numerous treasures, including gold and silver vessels, weapons, and jewelry. This golden cup, with its intricately designed handles, is one of the most famous finds from Circle A tomb. Each handle of the cup terminates in the head of a dog, biting the edge of the cup. The dogs' heads are finely crafted, with their jaws clamped firmly onto the rim, creating an illusion of the animals holding the vessel in place. The canines' eyes are depicted with inlaid stones, adding an extra layer of detail and visual interest. The intricate goldwork and the use of precious materials demonstrate the advanced metallurgical skills and artistic abilities of the Mycenaean craftsmen. This cup is not only an exceptional example of Mycenaean art but also a significant historical artifact, shedding light on the wealth and cultural sophistication of the Mycenaean civilization during the Late Bronze Age. Currently, the Golden Cup with the canine handles is housed in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece, where it continues to captivate visitors and scholars alike with its beauty and historical significance.
