17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Old Mother Hubbard

EDITORS COMMENTS
is a classic English nursery rhyme that has been delighting children for generations with its playful verse and memorable characters. This beautiful painting by Briton Riviere, created in 1883, brings the rhyme to life in vivid detail. In the image, a young girl in a mop cap and a red dress stands before an old, wooden cupboard door. Her curious expression and the slight tilt of her head suggest that she is about to discover something exciting. Her loyal Jack Russell terrier, with its alert and intently focused gaze, waits eagerly by her side. The door, with its intricately carved design and faded, worn surface, adds to the historical charm of the scene. Briton Riviere, a renowned English painter of the late 19th century, masterfully captures the essence of the nursery rhyme with his use of warm colors, soft lighting, and intricate details. The mop cap and red dress of the girl, the terrier's fur, and the wood grain of the door all come alive with the artist's skillful brushstrokes. The painting is a delightful representation of the beloved nursery rhyme and is sure to bring joy and wonder to any room. Whether hung as a decorative piece or as a conversation starter, this painting by Briton Riviere is a must-have for anyone who appreciates the history and charm of traditional nursery rhymes. Old Mother Hubbard, with her broomstick in her hand, Led her pance full of pudding, She went to the baker's to buy some bread, But when she came back her pudding was stolen, And so were her pig and her dish. This painting is a beautiful illustration of the rhyme, capturing the essence of the story and the characters in a timeless and captivating way.
