17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Miss Beatrice Harrison: A Musical Prodigy and Her Faithful Companion (1923) In this photograph, we find Miss Beatrice Harrison, an extraordinary cellist, in the prime of her youthful talent. Born in 1892, Harrison's dedication to music began at an early age. By the time she was just 11 years old, she had already exhibited her prodigious abilities at the prestigious Royal College of Music. Only a few years later, at 14, she was awarded a scholarship, a testament to her unwavering commitment and natural aptitude. The image shows Harrison in an intimate setting, surrounded by the warm glow of natural light that filters in through the room's large windows. Her intense focus is evident as she positions her bow above the strings of her cello, poised to create beautiful melodies. The room is filled with the rich, resonant sounds of music, a testament to her mastery of the instrument. But Harrison's life was not just about music. In this photograph, she is also accompanied by her beloved dog, a faithful companion who adds a touch of playfulness and warmth to the scene. The dog's presence serves as a reminder that even the most dedicated musicians find joy and comfort in the simple pleasures of life. This photograph, taken in 1923, captures a moment in time when Miss Beatrice Harrison was on the cusp of a brilliant musical career. Her story is one of passion, dedication, and the enduring bond between a musician and her loyal companion.
