17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Middlesbrough Town Hall: A Victorian Masterpiece and the Heart of the Community This evocative photograph captures the grandeur and historical significance of Middlesbrough Town Hall, a magnificent Victorian municipal building that has stood at the heart of this industrial town in England since its official opening by His Royal Highness, Edward, Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, in 1889. The lofty clock tower, with its ornate clock face and intricate detailing, dominates the scene, while the imposing structure of the building itself exudes an air of authority and stability. The zebra crossing in front of the Town Hall, with its distinctive black and white stripes, adds a touch of modernity to the scene, while the vintage buses in the background transport us back in time to the 1950s. The Town Hall was built during a period of rapid industrial growth in Middlesbrough, and its impressive design reflected the town's newfound prosperity and civic pride. The building's intricate architectural details, including its ornate stonework and elegant columns, are testament to the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into its construction. Over the years, the Town Hall has served as a symbol of local government and community life, hosting a range of events and activities that have brought people together. From civic ceremonies and council meetings to concerts and exhibitions, the Town Hall has played a central role in the social and cultural fabric of Middlesbrough. As we gaze at this photograph, we are transported back in time to a bygone era, when Victorian municipal buildings like Middlesbrough Town Hall were a source of pride and inspiration for communities across England.
