17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this evocative photograph, two Metropolitan Police officers are seen engaged in the use of an Intoximeter 3000, a piece of advanced technology used for measuring alcohol levels during the 1970s. The officers, dressed in their formal uniforms with shirt sleeves rolled up, are located in a dimly lit room at New Scotland Yard in London. One officer is blowing into a long tube connected to the machine, while the other officer carefully monitors the results on the paper strip that is being printed out. The Intoximeter 3000, a bulky and imposing piece of equipment, sits between them, its white surface adorned with epaulettes and other identifying markings of the Metropolitan Police. The Intoximeter 3000 represented a significant advancement in the field of alcohol measurement technology during the 1970s. Its use was instrumental in the enforcement of drunk driving laws and the maintenance of public safety. The paper strip, which was produced as a result of the breath test, provided a clear and objective measurement of the alcohol content in the breath, making it an essential tool for law enforcement agencies. This photograph captures a moment in time, a snapshot of the past, when technology and law enforcement intersected to ensure the safety and security of the public. The officers' focused expressions and the seriousness of the situation are palpable, emphasizing the importance of their work. The use of the Intoximeter 3000 was a critical part of their daily routine, and this photograph serves as a reminder of the technological advancements that have shaped the history of law enforcement.
