23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this enchanting photograph from the late 1880s, two royal sisters, Maria Feodorovna, Empress of Russia, and Alexandra, Princess of Wales, are seen enjoying a leisurely holiday with their children. The Danish-born Maria Feodorovna, formerly known as Princess Dagmar, is depicted sitting on a bench with her youngest daughter, Princess Olga Alexandrovna, while her older sister, Alexandra, is seen standing beside her eldest child, Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence. The sisters' warm and affectionate relationship is palpable in this image, as they gaze at each other with loving smiles. The siblings' shared history is rich and complex; they were close throughout their lives, despite the political tensions between their respective countries. Maria Feodorovna had married Tsar Alexander III of Russia in 1866, while Alexandra married the future King Edward VII of the United Kingdom in 1863. The photograph captures a moment of respite from their royal duties, as the sisters and their children relax in a beautiful garden setting. The children, dressed in fashionable clothing of the era, appear to be enjoying each other's company, adding to the idyllic scene. Maria Feodorovna's reign as Empress of Russia was marked by her dedication to charitable causes and her efforts to improve the lives of her people. Alexandra, who later became Queen Consort of the United Kingdom upon her husband's ascension to the throne in 1901, was known for her devotion to her family and her humanitarian work. This photograph offers a rare glimpse into the personal lives of these two remarkable women, highlighting their strong bond as sisters and their roles as mothers. It is a poignant reminder of the complexities and nuances of royal history, and the enduring importance of family ties.
