17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

1. Title: "Lord John Russell, 1st Earl Russell: A British Statesman and Prime Minister of the Victorian Era" 2.. This striking photograph captures Lord John Russell, 1st Earl Russell (1792-1878), a prominent British statesman and Prime Minister during the Victorian era. Born on February 16, 1792, in Trelawny, Cornwall, England, Russell began his political career as a member of the Whig Party. He served in various government positions, including Home Secretary and Foreign Secretary, before becoming Prime Minister for the first time in 1846. Russell is best known for his role in the Reform Act of 1832, which expanded the electorate and significantly reformed the British parliamentary system. His second tenure as Prime Minister, from 1865 to 1866, saw the passage of the Second Reform Act, which further expanded the franchise and reduced the power of the landed gentry in elections. In this photograph, Russell appears as a distinguished and thoughtful figure, with a serious expression and piercing gaze. His attire, including a formal waistcoat, shirt, and cravat, reflects the formal dress code of the time. The photograph's muted tones and sharp focus highlight the intricacies of Russell's features, making for a captivating and historically significant image. Lord John Russell's political legacy continues to be felt in modern Britain, as his reforms paved the way for a more democratic and representative political system. This photograph serves as a poignant reminder of his contributions to British history and the enduring influence of Victorian-era statesmen.
