23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Step back in time and explore the labyrinthine Old City of Tripoli, Libya, as captured in this photograph from the late 1930s. The narrow passageway, framed by ancient arches and buildings, invites us to imagine the rich history that lies within. The sun casts dappled light through the gap between the structures, creating an ethereal glow that adds to the sense of mystery and intrigue. The Old City of Tripoli, also known as Medina, is a living testament to the diverse cultural influences that have shaped the city over the centuries. The passageway leads us deeper into the heart of this historic district, where the sounds of bustling markets and the aroma of traditional Libyan cuisine fill the air. The arches, a common architectural feature in Islamic architecture, not only provide shelter from the elements but also serve as a reminder of the city's long and complex history. The intricate patterns and designs etched into the stonework are a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans who created them. As we wander through the winding streets and alleys of the Old City, we are transported back in time to a world that seems far removed from the modern city that surrounds it. This photograph is a window into the past, offering a glimpse of a place where history and tradition continue to thrive.
