23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating image from the early 20th century that beautifully encapsulates the essence of love, anticipation, and the unique quirks of the calendar. This charming photograph, taken in 1911, depicts a young, pretty girl named Mary, deep in thought as she holds a letter in her hand. The title of the image, "Lets Put another R in Mary," is a playful reference to the leap year tradition, where women are allowed to propose to men on February 29th. The scene is set in a cozy, dimly lit room, with a fireplace crackling in the background, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The girl's expression is one of deep contemplation, her brow furrowed as she ponders the contents of the letter. Her delicate features, rosy cheeks, and soft curls add to her beauty and make her all the more endearing. The image is a poignant reminder of the power of love and the lengths people will go to express their feelings. It also highlights the unique nature of leap years and the traditions that surround them. The title, with its clever play on words, adds an extra layer of charm to the image and makes it all the more intriguing. The photograph is a beautiful piece of history that transports us back in time to a simpler era, where love letters and leap years held a special place in people's hearts. It is a reminder of the enduring power of love and the unique quirks of the calendar that continue to captivate us to this day.
