17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This stunning print depicts the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari in Egypt, built during the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom around 1490 BC. The temple, dedicated to the god Amun-Ra and the goddess Hatshepsut herself, is a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture and art. The relief on the temple's exterior walls tells the story of Pharaoh Hatshepsut's expedition to the Land of Punt, a distant and exotic land located in the eastern Mediterranean or the Red Sea. The relief shows Hatshepsut and her retinue presenting offerings to the Puntites, including a cow, trees, and other goods. The animals and trees are depicted in great detail, showcasing the Egyptians' fascination with the natural wonders of the world beyond their borders. The temple's distinctive design features a series of terraces and a grand stairway leading up to the temple's entrance. The temple's walls are adorned with polychrome reliefs, which have survived remarkably well despite the passage of time. The use of polychromy, or the application of multiple colors to the relief, adds depth and texture to the already impressive designs. The Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari is a testament to the artistic and architectural achievements of ancient Egypt during the New Kingdom period. It continues to captivate scholars and visitors alike, offering a glimpse into the rich history and culture of this ancient civilization.
