23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
A Chance Encounter in the Park: Unconventional Labour Candidates of the 1900s Amidst the lush greenery and tranquil atmosphere of an early 1900s park, an unexpected gathering takes place on a quaint wooden bench. Three men, each with their unique stories and circumstances, have come together, unaware of the dual meaning their presence holds. On the surface, they appear to be down-on-their-luck individuals, seeking refuge from the harsh realities of life. Their disheveled appearances and weary expressions speak volumes of their struggles as tramps or vagrants. Yet, as the title of this satirical postcard reveals, they are also potential Labour Candidates. The Labour Party, founded in the late 19th century, aimed to represent the working class and fight for their rights. This postcard, with its clever wordplay, pokes fun at the idea that these three men, despite their unfortunate circumstances, could still be suitable candidates for the Labour Party. Their very presence in the park, seemingly idle and asleep, could be interpreted as a symbol of the party's commitment to the unemployed and downtrodden. The Labour Party's mission was to provide opportunities and a voice for those who were often overlooked by the political establishment. This satirical postcard, with its dual meaning, highlights the party's dedication to its principles, even in the face of adversity and humor. As the sun sets on the park, casting long shadows over the bench, the three men continue to slumber, oblivious to the irony of their situation. Their presence serves as a reminder that even in the most unexpected places, there is potential for change and representation.
