23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This exquisite print captures the regal presence of King Henry IV of England (1366-1413) and his queen, Joan of Navarre (1370-1437), in a moment of quiet contemplation. Henry, dressed in the robes of state, sits confidently on his throne with a serious expression, his hand resting on a scepter. His queen, Joan, stands beside him, her elegant gown adorned with intricate patterns, her hands folded in prayer. Henry IV's reign (1399-1413) was marked by political instability and rebellion, particularly from his own son, Henry Bolingbroke, who would eventually depose him and take the throne as Henry V. Despite these challenges, Henry is remembered for his efforts to strengthen the monarchy and assert English claims to the French throne. Joan of Navarre, daughter of King Charles II of Navarre, was a powerful and influential queen consort. She was known for her intelligence, beauty, and piety, and played a key role in the political intrigues of the court. Her Navarrese connections gave her access to a vast network of European nobility, making her an invaluable asset to her husband's reign. This image is a poignant reminder of the complexities of medieval royal life, where power, politics, and personal relationships intertwined in intricate ways. The serene expression on the faces of the king and queen belies the turbulent times they lived through, offering a glimpse into the private moments of a royal marriage that shaped the course of English history.
