31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This photograph print depicts the renowned English physicist, James Prescott Joule, as he conducts an experiment to measure the rate at which heat is produced by an electric current. The year is circa 1840, and Joule's groundbreaking research would ultimately lead to the discovery of the Joule, a fundamental unit of work or energy, named in his honor. In this experiment, Joule investigates the relationship between electricity and heat, a crucial aspect of the scientific understanding of electricity. He carefully monitors the current passing through a wire immersed in water, while measuring the resulting temperature change. The historical significance of this moment is palpable, as Joule's findings would forever change the way scientists and scholars perceived the connection between electricity and energy. Joule's pioneering work laid the foundation for the first and second laws of thermodynamics. His contributions to the scientific community were immense, and his legacy continues to influence our understanding of the physical world. This photograph print serves as a poignant reminder of the curiosity, dedication, and ingenuity of one of history's greatest minds. The image itself is a testament to the beauty and intrigue of scientific discovery, capturing the essence of a pivotal moment in the annals of science. The intricate machinery, the focused expression on Joule's face, and the meticulous attention to detail all combine to create a compelling visual representation of the scientific process in action.
