31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Step into the vibrant world of New York City's jazz age nightlife as depicted on the cover of Theatre World's February 1926 issue. This stunning Art Deco illustration transports us back to an era of glamour, sophistication, and the irresistible allure of the stage. The illustration, created in the height of the Art Deco movement, showcases the dynamic interplay of geometric shapes, bold lines, and rich colors that characterize this distinctive design style. The central figure, a captivating woman in a flowing, sequined gown, gazes out at the viewer with an enigmatic smile, her eyes reflecting the twinkling lights of the city beyond. Surrounding her, a lively scene unfolds: a saxophonist plays a sultry melody, a dapper man in a tuxedo raises a glass in toast, and a group of elegantly dressed women dance the Charleston. The stage behind them is set for a performance, the curtain parted to reveal a glittering backdrop of stars and cityscape. The Theatre World cover encapsulates the excitement and energy of the Roaring Twenties, a time when the worlds of theatre, art, and nightlife intersected to create unforgettable experiences. This illustration is not only a testament to the enduring appeal of the Art Deco aesthetic but also a reminder of the magic and mystery that once filled the streets of New York City.
