23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this exquisite photograph, three beautifully adorned Geisha girls gather around a low table, engaged in the traditional Japanese ritual of sharing a meal. The scene is set in a quintessential Japanese interior, with intricate wooden screens and tatami flooring providing a serene backdrop. The Geisha on the right, dressed in an elegant kimono with a vibrant floral design, gracefully serves rice from a large, ornate bowl using a wooden rice paddle. Her long, flowing hair is styled in the intricate updo known as a "shimada," which is adorned with delicate accessories. The Geisha to her left, also in a stunning kimono, delicately sips from a tea bowl, her expression one of contentment and enjoyment. The third Geisha, seated at the far end of the table, gazes intently at her companions, her own bowl of rice and tea steaming gently in front of her. The air is filled with the aroma of freshly cooked rice and the subtle, soothing sounds of traditional Japanese music. The girls' conversation flows effortlessly, their laughter mingling with the gentle clinking of their tea cups. This moment, steeped in history and tradition, is a testament to the enduring beauty and grace of Japanese culture. The intricacy of their costumes, from the delicate embroidery on their kimonos to the intricate obi sashes that cinch their waists, speaks to the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into creating these iconic garments. The girls' poised and elegant posture, their graceful movements, and their immaculate hairdos are all hallmarks of the Geisha's unique and timeless art. This photograph is a captivating glimpse into the rich history and traditions of Japan, offering a window into a world of beauty, refinement, and grace. It is a reminder of the enduring allure of Geisha culture and the importance of preserving the customs and practices that have shaped Japanese history.
