Brick Geography Lombardy Pavia Renaissance 15th

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This stunning 15th century print showcases the breathtaking exterior of Pavia Cathedral, a remarkable architectural masterpiece located in the heart of Lombardy, Italy. The cathedral, rooted in the rich history of Christianity and European civilization, was constructed on the site of two pre-existing Romanesque cathedrals. The intricate brickwork, a hallmark of the Renaissance era, adorns the cathedral's exterior, creating an intriguing interplay of light and shadow. The red bricks, arranged in a distinctive pattern, add a sense of warmth and depth to the structure, which stands proudly against the clear blue Italian sky. The cathedral's age is evident in its weathered facade, bearing the marks of time and the elements. Yet, the building remains a testament to the enduring beauty and resilience of Italy's architectural heritage. The intricate details of the arches, columns, and sculptures are a feast for the eyes, showcasing the artistic prowess of the artisans of the time. Pavia Cathedral is a symbol of the city's rich history and cultural significance. Its construction began in the 15th century, a time when Europe was undergoing a renaissance of art, literature, and learning. This print offers a glimpse into the past, transporting us back to an age of wonder and discovery, where the beauty of art and the power of faith intertwined to create some of the most enduring structures in human history.
