23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Giants Cradle or Rocking Stone, Browns Bay (c1828)
EDITORS COMMENTS
: A Watercolour Masterpiece by Andrew Nicholl This exquisite watercolour painting, titled "Giants Cradle or Rocking Stone, Browns Bay," is an enchanting work of art created by the Irish artist Andrew Nicholl in the year 1828. The image captures the mystical allure of the Giants Cradle, a natural wonder located in Browns Bay, Ireland. The painting portrays the iconic rocking stone, which is nestled between two larger boulders, as if poised to roll. The stone appears to be balanced precariously, as if waiting for the slightest push to start its rocking motion. The surrounding landscape is depicted with equal care and detail, with lush greenery and the tranquil waters of the bay providing a serene backdrop to the stone's dramatic presence. Andrew Nicholl's masterful use of watercolour on paper brings the scene to life, with the vibrant greens of the foliage contrasting beautifully with the cool blues and grays of the water and sky. The artist's keen observation and attention to detail are evident in the intricately rendered textures of the rocks and the delicate rendering of the foliage. The painting is a testament to Nicholl's artistic talent and his ability to capture the essence of nature. It invites the viewer to imagine the stories and legends that surround the Giants Cradle and to appreciate the beauty and wonder of the natural world. This work of art remains an enduring reminder of the power and allure of Ireland's natural wonders.
